A PA system starts as a mixer/amplifier, a pair of stand-mounted speakers and a hand held, wired microphone. PA systems will take feeds from a variety of sources and so from there you can build the system up to what best suits your event and audience numbers – additional speakers, wireless microphones, multi channel mixers, CD player and so on.
